Getting Started with CueTube
Welcome to CueTube—your minimalist, power-user video player. Follow these simple steps to get up and running in under a minute:
Mac App Store: Open the Mac App Store, search for “CueTube,” then click Get → Install.
Open CueTube from your Applications folder or Dock.
Paste a Youtube video using the paste button or use the inbuilt browser to select a video.
Your video will appear in the main player window.
Play/Pause: Click the central ▶️/⏸ button.
Seek: Drag the progress bar or use the Seek buttons.
While playing, hit the Bookmark button.
Your timestamp is saved in the Bookmarks.
Click any bookmark to instantly jump back to that moment.
Tap the 1× speed indicator in the control bar to cycle through 0.5×, 1×, 1.5×, and 2× speeds.
If you need a closer look, place two fingers over the video and pinch outward to zoom in (pinch-in to zoom out).
This works during playback or pause, and does not affect the saved bookmarks.
Whenever you pause, you’ll see a small ▶️ More videos button in the corner.
Click it to browse related clips without cluttering your view.
Click the ⚙️ icon in the top bar to open Settings.
