2022-2023 Season

What will the 2022-2023 season look like?

Summer Training:

NCA camp - mYRTLE bEACH

We love being able to start our season off at NCA College Camp in Myrtle Beach! It is always a great time to make new memories, bond with our new teammates, and learn new skills. This year both our All Girl and Co-Ed squads did fantastic and represented Clemson in the best way. Along with new skills and techniques, we also brought the following awards back home with us:

All Girl

Gold Bid to NCA College NationalsFirst Place RALLY RoutineMost Collegiate 17 All-Americans

Co-Ed

Silver Bid to NCA College Nationals Second Place Rally Routine

During the summer time, or athletes do summer challenges. It is a fun way to learn our material and keep up with our skills. It is also gets a little competitive between the groups. We have five different groups based off of where our athletes are located. We set up a point system and rewarded teams based on completion, skills and difficulty. After four challenges, Team #2, our far from home crew, won the contest by almost 10 points!!

Fall Training: On August 9th double session practices begin. We practice outside in August and September to get used to the heat for games. Both the Coed and All Girl teams will attend NCA College Camp in Myrtle Beach on August 13th-15th . Our normal practice schedule will start when classes begin. At this time, it looks like we will be able to return to the sideline for home football games and have a travel squad at away football games which is great news. A year on the hill provided a new perspective, and we are eager to contribute to the game day experience from the sidelines once again. We will perform at home volleyball matches and non-conference Men’s and Women’s basketball games in November and December. We are looking forward to performing on campus at pep rally’s and resuming our in-person community outreach events this fall.

Spring Training: After final exams in December, we will stay in Clemson for nationals choreography and continue performing at Men’s and Women’s basketball games throughout the spring semester. In addition to basketball games, we will prepare for nationals (this year we are competing in the All Girl 1A and Coed 1A divisions), attend community events, and host college prep clinics for high school/college students interested in cheering at Clemson. We will compete at NCA College Nationals April 2023 to finish out our season.
