We returned to the sideline and court in 2021-22 with over half our program members performing on the sideline for the first time. Death Valley was packed once again with the best fans in the country, and we were reminded how special Tiger Nation is and how fortunate we are to be part of this #ClemsonFamily. The senior team members were instrumental in helping both the rookies and second year team members prepare for the season. We resumed away game travel and the seniors finished the football season with a great experience at the Cheez-it Bowl in Orlando, FL.
In addition to attending home and away football games, we regained access to the weight room and training room. We performed at halftime of numerous sporting events and traveled to Cary, NC with the Men’s Soccer team for National Championship semi-final and Championship games. The program finished the fall semester strong academically with a 3.52 program GPA.
Running flags, interacting with fans, and cheering in front of the student-section at basketball games made for an exciting spring semester in Littlejohn. We finished up the season in Daytona, FL at NCA College Nationals with 36 team members competing on the bandshell for the first time. The determination and grit every team member put forth preparing for those final performances was remarkable. Thank you to the family members and friends who attended our showcases and made the trip to Daytona to cheer us on.
I am so grateful our student-athletes were able to have these “normal” experiences in 2021-22. We did not take the return to the sideline, court, bandshell or community events for granted. Thank you to all the alumni, parents, family members, and community members who support our student-athletes and program this season. The coaching staff and returning team members are eager to get back to work and build on the success of those who paved the way for the 2022-23 teams.
Go Tigers!
Coach Tori Polsinello
We want to thank everyone who made our season possible! We could not have made it through the year without all of your support. We are grateful to have such amazing family, friends, coaches, alumni, and fans who help us.
We ecstatic to finally be back on the bandshell and be able to compete in person for the first time in three seasons! With the exception of four of our seniors who had went during their freshman year, this was the first time competing at nationals in person for a huge majority of our program! We had a great time wrapping up our season in Daytona with a fourth place finish from the All-girl Squad and a sixth place finish for Small Co-Ed. We are very proud of our teams and can not wait to go back next year!
