Camping
In Cub Scouts we are family camping. We will camp in designated campsites and our cars will be near us. It won't usually be a hike to get to our cars. One of our most popular camping excursions is to camp Elmore for our Halloween campout. Another famous campout of ours is to Marcum Park for the annual Scout Master's Camporee which is an amazing experience many packs and troops (Troops are comprised of middle school and high school youth) from both South Florida Council and Gulf Stream Council attend the Scout Master's Camporee. Both of which are hosted by South Florida Council. Keep in mind the schedule changes annually and can be checked here:

In Cub Scouts we are car camping, no, that doesn't mean that we are camping and sleeping in our cars. Car camping gives a lot of flexibility in gear choice, allowing for more room and comfort. Ultimately gear choice is a personal decision, but we'll outline some basic gear options below to get you started.
