This competition will function similarly to the Cubing at Home Competitions hosted by CubingUSA. Competitors will be responsible for scrambling their puzzles and for recording their solve times, which will be submitted via an online form made available on the Results page of this website.
Competitors are expected to conduct themselves honorably throughout the competition. Anyone found to be intentionally submitting false times will be removed from the competition. Moreover, competitors are expected to follow the WCA Regulations to the best of their ability. These regulations can be found here.
Following the WCA Regulations means that competitors are expected to adhere to the 15-second inspection limit, obey all time penalties (+2, DNF, DNS) and to use correct puzzle defect procedures. Inspection may be timed using a solving program or with the help of another person, who will operate a stopwatch and give time warnings when 8 seconds and 12 seconds have elapsed. It is also of note that competitors are not permitted to listen to music while solving, as per Regulation 2i.
Competitors are expected to use the most accurate timing method possible. A stackmat (or similar timer) is highly recommended. If a competitor is using cstimer or another timer application, they should still be timing themselves with the stackmat if at all possible. Competitors are not permitted to hold the cube while starting or stopping the timer (this is known as "keyboard cheating").
The hard cutoff for all events is 4 minutes. This means that any solve time that is 4 minutes or longer will be considered a DNF.
Advancing to a subsequent round of an event will be based on a competitor's performance in the event. Results for each event will be made available on this website before the next round of that event begins. If a competitor wishes to be eligible for a final round or podium finish (top three spots) and prize money in any event, they must submit video footage of their final round in that event. This should be uncut, unedited footage that shows the competitor opening the results forms and applying the scrambles, as well as solving the puzzle and recording the time.* We will contact you directly if we are in need of footage. Podium finishes will not be awarded to competitors that fail to submit video footage when requested. Moreover, if a qualifying result for an event is called in to question and no video evidence is provided to substantiate it, the competitor may be unable to compete in the following round of that event.
