Cube to Cure was founded by John Staley, Ryland Wilson, and Jacob Lee in 2020.
The team has previously served as organizers for two WCA-sanctioned competitions: MLWGS Spring 2019 and MLWGS Winter 2020. MLWGS Winter 2020 was designed to raise money for the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research. Cube to Cure continues in that spirit with its first online competition, which seeks to fundraise to stop COVID-19.
