Cube is made by Olga Afanaseva, contact tesitngbesting01@gmail.com.
This policy explains what Cube does with your information. The short version: Cube is built to work without an account, and almost everything you enter stays on your phone and is never sent anywhere.
This version of Cube has no accounts at all. There is nothing to sign in to, and no profile of you exists anywhere but on your phone.
Your answers, your food log, your cravings, your notes and your check-ins are stored only on your device.
Cube shows no ads, uses no advertising identifiers, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Cube sends anonymous usage events — which screens you opened, whether a purchase went through — so we can see what to fix. It never sends what you ate, what you logged, or any answer you gave. You can switch this off in Settings → privacy.
The only times Cube contacts a server are when you scan a barcode, when you buy or restore a subscription, and to send those anonymous usage events.
When you use Cube, the following is written to your phone's local app storage and is not transmitted to us or to anyone else:
Your onboarding answers: your reason for quitting, how much sugar you reported, when cravings hit, your weak spots, symptoms you recognised, allergies, intolerances, dietary choices, and foods you told us to avoid.
Your Sugar Score and your calculated daily cube baseline.
Everything you log: food items, cube counts, dates, notes and slip tags.
Your cravings: when you opened the panic flow, what you were craving, and whether it passed.
Your streak, your badges, your unlocked mascots and your plan changes.
Your milestone check-ins, including how you said you felt, which symptoms you said had eased, any weight you chose to record, and any note you wrote.
This data is held in the app's private storage, protected by your device's own encryption, and in a shared container that lets the Cube widgets show your streak without opening the app. Deleting the app deletes all of it. We hold no copy, so we cannot recover it for you and cannot delete it on your behalf.
Some of this is information about your health and diet. That is exactly why it stays on the device: Cube is designed so that this category of information never needs to leave your phone.
If you scan a product barcode, Cube sends only the barcode number to Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org), a public open food database, to look up that product's sugar content. No account information, no device identifier and nothing about you is sent with that request. The result is cached on your phone so the same product works offline next time.
Open Food Facts is an independent organisation with its own privacy policy: https://world.openfoodfacts.org/legal
Cube asks for camera access for two things: reading a barcode, and reading the nutrition label on a package.
Both happen entirely on your device. For a barcode, the camera image is processed live to find the code. For a nutrition label, Cube takes one still frame and reads the text on it using Apple's on-device text recognition, then discards the frame.
No photo or video is recorded, saved to your photo library, or uploaded — not the barcode frames and not the label photo. Nothing about the image leaves the phone. If you decline camera access, you can still enter products by hand.
Purchases are handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, Inc., which we use to check whether your subscription is active. When you buy or restore a subscription, RevenueCat receives your App Store transaction information and an anonymous identifier that Cube generates for your installation. We do not send your health answers, your food log or your name to RevenueCat.

RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
We never see and never store your payment card details. Apple handles payment.
Reminders are scheduled locally by your phone. Their contents are generated on the device and are not sent through any server. You can turn each type off individually in Cube's settings, or all of them in iOS Settings.
We do not show ads or work with advertising networks.
We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and do not ask to track you.
We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for their own purposes.
We do not build a profile of you across other apps or websites.
We do not use session recording, heatmaps, or any tool that captures what is on your screen.
We do not send your health, food or onboarding answers to our analytics provider, or to anyone else.
We do not access your photo library, contacts, location, microphone or health records.
Cube is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us at tesitngbesting01@gmail.com and we will act on it.
Because Cube keeps your information on your own device, you are in direct control of it:
See it: everything Cube knows is visible inside the app.
Change it: your answers can be edited in Settings at any time.
Erase part of it: Settings → reset progress clears your days, logs, cravings and badges.
Erase all of it: deleting the app removes every trace from your device.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA to access, correct, export or delete personal information we hold about you, and to complain to a data protection authority. In this version of Cube we hold no personal information about you on our servers, so in most cases there is nothing for us to retrieve or erase. If you have a question about this, write to tesitngbesting01@gmail.com and we will answer within 30 days.
Where a legal basis is required for the limited processing described in section 3, we rely on the performance of our contract with you (providing the app and your subscription) and on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working.
Local data stays on your device until you delete it or delete the app. Barcode lookups are cached on the device and can be cleared by deleting the app. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat, and anonymous usage events by PostHog, under their own policies.
Cube relies on iOS's built-in app sandbox and file encryption to protect what is stored on your device. All network requests the app makes use HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we change how Cube handles information, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date above. If the change is significant — for example if a future version adds accounts or analytics — we will say so clearly in the app before the change affects you.
