History
- A senior named Frederick K. (Fred) Djan wrote to HFHI inquiring about forming a Campus Chapter in December 1988.
- The initial application was submitted in January 1989 and approved February 1989.
- Catholic U was the 54th Campus Chapter (51st college chapter, 2nd in DC)
Habitat for Humanity Collegiate Challenge records for individual group participation are not complete prior to 2002. HFHI can confirm that for 2002 to 2018, Catholic U took a total of 60 trips to 44 locations and a total of 1,105 participants (individuals taking multiple trips are counted once for each trip taken). Collegiate Challenge was started in 1989, so the actual participation may be higher.
