Our district offers Snap and Read and Co-Writer. The applications are forced to install to everyone in the cttech.org.
The products are available to anyone in the district, here is how they obtain them:
Step 1. Students AND staff can go directly to the product url:
Co Writer. Word prediction that is grammar smart and inventive spelling aware. Speech recognition allows you to speak it, and
it will write it. The Co-Writer extension is installed on all students Google accounts at the district level
Snap&Read is the Next-Generation reading tool that can cover the most diverse reading needs. Features: Read Aloud - Listen to text as it's read aloud across websites, PDFs, and Google Drive.
Click create account and enter email address (their cttech.org account) information that will start the account setup process.
Google will authenticate the user account. – Because we are a Google Apps for Education Organization
Bookshare makes reading easier. People with disabilities and other reading barriers can customize their experience to suit their learning style and find virtually any book they need for school, work, or the joy of reading. There is an active district account… see attached document.

3. Loom: Looking to pre-record a lesson and post a link for kids to watch?
Loom is a free google extension you can load to your computer. You can pre-record a lesson and have a choice of just having your voice and computer screen be recorded or you can turn your webcam on also and you will be seen in the corner of the screen.

4. TEXT COMPACTOR: Tech Tip, especially for struggling students:
Text Compactor is a free online text summarizer. Copy and paste text into the Text Compactor and a summary of the text will be instantly provided. The summarized text could then be read aloud by your favorite screen reader (Snap & Read, Read & Write)
