Standing Rules
The following Standing Rules shall govern the activities of the CTLGA. These rules may be amended at any time by a majority vote of the entire Board of Directors. (updated 11/01/23)
The LGA fiscal year begins on the first Thursday of November and concludes on the last Thursday of October. A fun play day and installation of officers will take place the last week of October.
Play days will be from the tees where the member’s handicap has been established. New members can establish a handicap by providing a current established index from a former club or submitting a minimum of five (5) Comanche Trace scores within 90 days. The maximum handicap allowed for CTLGA-Sponsored events will be 36.
As there are two tee boxes for #5 Creeks, players must designate on the first day of LGA play each season from which tee box they will play during the season without change.
As the Comanche Tees are now rated for play, if a player elects to play from the Comanche Tees, the player must designate as such on the first day of LGA play each season. Switching between tees is not allowed, except when required for team play purposes. All league team play events, including special team tournaments (M/M & M/G), will require all players to play from the Red tees unless there are enough teams (minimum of 5 teams) participating to create a separate Comanche Tees Flight. To qualify to play the Comanche Tees, all players in the team event/tournament must be Comanche Tees designated players.
Thursday play days are shotgun starts beginning at 10:00am November through April, and 9:00am May through October. All players are required to sign up by registering on the ForeTees app. The deadline for signup is Wednesday at 1:00pm so that the Pro Shop can set pairings and print score cards. If signup occurs after 1:00pm, and if spots are available, the player will be added to an Alternates List. Individual formats are easily adjusted, but team events are not, so timely signups are encouraged.
All play day events will have a $5.00 charge per player to be divided among each day’s winners. Players will be flighted based on GHIN Index and payouts determined by the number of players participating. Comanche Tees players are eligible only for Net Win payouts if there are not enough players for a separate Comanche Tees Flight, which requires a minimum of 5 players. The Pro Shop will post all winnings as credit to the individual’s accounts redeemable in the Pro Shop.
To be eligible to compete in any LGA-sponsored tournament, or to qualify for End-of-Year Awards, players must be in “Good Standing” defined as 1) current on all Membership Dues 2) an established handicap maintained and 3) completed a minimum of seven (7) rounds of scheduled LGA play days.
Tournament play dates do NOT count as an eligible play date for minimum play requirements. The count will be calculated on a continuous 365-day basis and status for each player will be posted on the LGA website. If play is cancelled by the LGA President/Games Committee for any reason (weather, not enough players for a game, etc.), all players who signed up for play will receive credit toward their minimum play requirement.
The Cancellation Policy for LGA-Sponsored Tournaments is as follows: The entry fee, less a $15.00 service and processing fee, will be refunded regardless of the reason if the CTLGA is notified by contacting the Tournament Chair prior to the final entry date. Requests for refunds after the final entry date (recommended as 30 days prior to the tournament) will only be accepted in writing and the amount of the refund, if any, may be reduced by any tournament costs. There will be no refunds for rain cancellations.
The LGA Championship will be held during the LGA season. Only LGA members in “Good Standing” are eligible. LGA Champions will be determined by a stroke play competition where an Overall Gross and Net Champion will be determined. Runners up for Gross and Net in each flight will be awarded as well. The LGA Championship will require all players to play from the Red tees.
Members are responsible for signing, dating, and turning in all their scorecards to the Pro Shop for posting. A valid eighteen-hole score may be the combination of two nine-hole scores, or any round where a minimum of 13 holes is completed. Scoring: For tournament play, players must hole out on each hole to be eligible for prize money. To manage pace of play for weekly game days, there will be a maximum score of Net Double Bogey. Each player must enter a score for each hole on the scorecard to be eligible for handicap posting or determination of prize money.
Membership in the Hole-In-One Club is optional.
Hole-in-One Club:
1. The CTLGA Treasurer shall collect, record, and deposit all Hole-in-One dues.
2. Membership in the Hole-in-One Club is $5.00, but two successive memberships may be purchased.
3. Only a Hole-in-One earned on a regular play day or during a CTLGA-sponsored event will qualify.
4. The member will be paid the total of the current money, the number of members times the membership fee.
5. Should a member remove their name from the membership or not renew their club membership, a refund may be requested, or else monies will remain in the Hole in One Fund.
