Eclectic golf during two days for LGA members. Theme/format changes determined by Tournament Committee

Luck of the Draw
A two day Match Play tournament. 

Ringers

During the course of the season, a player's best score on each hole during a "postable round" will be maintained by the LGA Ringer's Chairman and committee. At the end of the season, awards will be presented to those with:

• low overall Gross score for 27 holes

• low overall Net score for 27 holes

• low Gross and low Net scores for each nine hole course

LGA Championship

The LGA Champions will be determined by this annual stroke play Championship which is open to all LGA members. A Gross and a Net Champion will be determined.

January

01/04   Kick Off Scramble – Team Game – Non Postable Score

Each golfer in the team tees off on every hole.  The team then chooses the best tee shot.  The players mark the spot with a tee marker.  Everyone plays the next shot from this marker.  Play continues until the ball is holed out.

01/11   T's & F's – Individual Game – Postable Score

         Play normal golf, but only the holes that start with T and F count.

01/18   3-Person Best Ball – Team Game – Postable Score

Each player tees off and completes each hole with their own ball.  At the end of each hole, only the best score handed in by any player on that hole is counted as the team’s score. 

01/25   Low Gross/Low Net – Individual Game – Postable Score

Each player tees off and completes each hole with their own ball.  A player picks up if a net, double bogey is reached on a hole. 

February

02/01   Ground Hog Eclectic – Individual Game – Non Postable Score

Players play the same nine holes twice in one round.  On first go, players record scores for all 9 holes.  On second go, using scorecard from first 9, players record only best score for each of the 9 holes. 

02/08   1,2,3 Waltz – Team Game – Postable Score

3 person teams:  one best ball on par 5s, two best balls on par 4s, all 3 best balls on par 3s.

02/15   Valentine’s Day / Meet your Partner (Blind Draw) – Team Game – Postable Score

Play your best and you’ll see how you and your Blind Partner did in a best ball format when you get to the 19th hole!

02/22   Low Gross/Low Net – Individual Game – Postable Score

Each player tees off and completes each hole with their own ball.  A player picks up if a net, double bogey is reached on a hole. 

02/29 - Par 3 Course – Individual Play – Non Postable Score

             Course will be set up so each tee box is approximately 150 Yards.  Each player has to hole out each par 3 hole. 

March

03/07   5 Clubs + Putter (6 Clubs) – Individual Game – Non Postable Score

Prior to the start of the round, each player selects 5 clubs (plus their putter) they wish to use to complete their round.  They must play the entire round using only the selected clubs.

03/14   Step Aside Scramble – Team Game – Non Postable Score

Each golfer in the team tees off on every hole.  The team then chooses the best tee shot.  The players mark the spot with a tee marker.  Everyone plays the next shot from this marker except the player whose shot is used.  That player will "step aside" for this shot.  This format continues until the ball is holed out.

03/21  Low Gross/Low Net – Individual Game – Postable Score

Each player tees off and completes each hole with their own ball.  A player picks up if a net, double bogey is reached on a hole. 

03/28   Three Little Bunnies – Individual Play – Postable Score

         Throw away 3 holes – 1 par 3, 1 par 4, and 1 par 5.   Total up score. 

April

04/04  LGA Green Jacket Par 3 Tournament – Individual Play – Non Postable Score

         Each player has to hole out each par 3 hole. 

04/11   2 Person Team Match Play – Team Play – Non Postable Score

Each golfer plays a ball and after every hole, the scores are compared to determine which team wins the hole.  Whichever team completes the hole in the fewest strokes wins the hole and therefore wins a point.  If both teams score identical scores, the hole is halved, resulting in no change to the overall score.

04/18   Low Gross/Low Net – Individual Game – Postable Score

Each player tees off and completes each hole with their own ball.  A player picks up if a net, double bogey is reached on a hole. 

04/25   O.N.E.S – Individual Play – Postable Score

Each player tees off and holes out with their own ball.  Only scores for holes that start with O, N, E or S count toward your score.

05/02 & 03  Luck of the Draw - Match Play Tournament – Team Play – Non Postable Score

         A two-day Match Play tournament 

05/09   Beat the Pro

         The pro will create a challenge for the LGA players.

05/16   Pick Your Partner - 2 Person Best Ball – Team Play – Postable Score

Each player tees off and completes each hole with their own ball.  At the end of each hole, only the best score handed in by any player on that hole is counted as the team’s score. 

05/23   Low Gross/Low Net – Individual Game – Postable Score

Each player tees off and completes each hole with their own ball.  A player picks up if a net, double bogey is reached on a hole. 

05/30   Pick 9 - Individual Game - Postable Score

After play, select the best scores for 9 holes played; must use 3 Par 3's, 3 Par 4's and 3 Par 5's.

June

06/06   Cha, Cha, Cha – Team Game – Postable Score

The best ball for the team counts on the 1st hole, two on the 2nd hole and then three on the 3rd.  The process repeats so that you count the best score on the 4th hole and so on.

06/13  Low Gross/Low Net – Individual Game – Postable Score

Each player tees off and completes each hole with their own ball.  A player picks up if a net, double bogey is reached on a hole. 

06/20   Low Putts – Individual Game – Postable Score

At the end of the game, you throw out all your other strokes and only count putts.  The player with the fewest putts is the winner. 

06/27   3,2,1 – Team Game – Postable Score

3 person teams:  all 3 balls for holes 1-6, 2 best balls for holes 7-12 and 1 best ball for holes 13-18.

         The pro determines the format of the play.

07/18   Low Gross/Low Net - Individual Game - Postable Score

07/20   Low Gross/Low Net from Comanche Tees – Individual Game – Postable Score

Each player tees off from the Comanche Tees and completes each hole with their own ball.  A player picks up if a net, double bogey is reached on a hole. 

07/25   Modified Team Stableford – Team Game – Postable Score

         2-person team.  Highest single using Stableford scoring system wins:

         1 point for net bogey

         2 points for net par

         3 points for net birdie

         4 points for net eagle

         5 points for net double eagle

August

08/01   1,2,3 Waltz – Team Game – Postable Score

   3 person teams:  one best ball on par 5s, two best balls on par 4s, all 3 best balls on par 3s.

08/08   No Putts – Individual Game – Non Postable Score

             The winner is determined by all strokes other than putts.

08/15   Beat the Heat / 9 Hole Eclectic – Individual Game – Postable (first round only)

Players play the same nine holes twice in one round.  On first go, record scores for all 9 holes.  On second go, using the scorecard from first 9, record only best score for each of the 9 holes.  Only first round is postable since player will pick up on the second round.

08/22   Low Gross/Low Net from Comanche Tees – Individual Game – Postable Score

  Each player tees off from the Comanche Tees and completes each hole with their own ball.  A player picks up if a net,   double bogey is reached on a hole.  

08/29   Step Aside Scramble – Team Game – Non Postable Score

Each golfer in the team tees off on every hole.  The team then chooses the best tee shot.  The players mark the spot with a tee marker.  Everyone plays the next shot from this marker except the player whose shot is used.  That player will "step aside" for this shot.  This format continues until the ball is holed out.

September

09/05   Nassau (6 Ways to Win)– Individual Game – Postable Score

Gross and Net winners for best score on front 9, back 9 and 18.

09/12   Odd & Even – Individual Game – Postable Score

At the end of the game, you decide whether you want to count only Odd or Even holes.

09/20 & 22  LGA Member-Member  - Team Game – Non Postable Score

Eclectic golf during two days for LGA members.  Theme/format changes determined by the tournament committee.

09/26   Toss Out 3 – Individual Game – Postable Score

Prior to play select a Par 3, Par 4 and Par 5 that you want to toss out.

October

10/03 - Par 3 Course – Individual Play – Non Postable Score

             Course will be set up so each tee box is approximately 150 Yards.  Each player has to hole out each par 3 hole. 10/03  10/10   Blind Partner – Team Game – Postable Score

Play your best and you’ll see how you and your Blind Partner did in a best ball format when you get to the 19th hole!

10/17 & 18  LGA Championship

GIR = 1 Point

Par = 2 Points

Birdie = 3 Points

10/31   Birdies & Boos Scramble  – Team Game – Non Postable Score

Each golfer in the team tees off on every hole.  The team then chooses the best tee shot.  The players mark the spot with a tee marker.  Everyone plays the next shot from this marker.  Play continues until the ball is holed out.
