Hi everyone! I will be entering my second year at OISE in the Curriculum Studies and Teacher Development Program this September. I am currently an occasional teacher with the York Catholic District School board and am certified to teach in the Intermediate/ Senior Divisions. I am certified to teach Biology and Chemistry, as well as Special Education and Religion. I developed a strong interest in assistive technology applications and websites after learning about Special Education needs in the Special Education AQ. I am also very passionate about holistic education for students of varying abilities. Hi there! My name is Hilary Browne, I am entering my third year of part studies for my Master of Education degree at OISE. My focus is in Curriculum Studies and Teacher Development with a focus on mathematics, science, and technology. I am currently an elementary occasional teacher with the Toronto District School Board in the Primary, Junior, and Intermediate divisions. I believe assistive technology is an important tool to support differentiated instruction and assessments in our classrooms. My name is Angela and I am a part-time OISE student completing my Master of Education degree in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning. As a teacher with the York Catholic District School Board, I have acquired a broad range of teaching experience from the Primary to Senior divisions, and have also taught in Alternative Education and Special Education programs. My experience, combined with a love for special education, has emphasized the need for all educators to implement the use of assistive technologies in their programs. It is imperative that we consider the 'whole child' in order to provide our students with the right tools to succeed.
