LifeTeen
What is LifeTeen?
Life Teen is a Catholic high school youth ministry program. It provides a safe fun place for youth to find solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. Life Teen resources speak to the physical, psychological, cognitive, relational, and spiritual maturation of high school youth. Life Teen resources make it easier for youth ministers to plan out their semesters of Life Night, retreats, and to train a team of adults, the Core Team, to assist them in the ministry. The resources present Catholic teaching in a way that young people can understand.
Life nights take place on Friday evenings approximately every 2 or 3 weeks.

QUESTION EVERYTHING
A serious misconception is that questioning our faith is shameful and equal to doubting or rejecting God. Asking questions is healthy and can serve as a springboard to grow in our knowledge of God’s love and trust in the Catholic Church. In this series, Question Everything, we encourage questions and thoughtfully explore four obstacles to fully embracing our Catholic faith.

Program Rules and Expectations
We want our youth ministry to be a fair and happy place. So we promise to…
Respect our peers
This includes no bullying, no talking over others, raising our hand to speak, keeping our hands to ourselves, using appropriate language, taking care of and looking after one another.
Respect our leaders
This includes listening when they are speaking, following instructions, remaining in sight of their supervision, being polite and showcasing good manners to the dinner volunteers.
Respect our environment
This includes no vandalizing, throwing away our garbage and tidying up after ourselves, no damaging church property, not wasting our food, taking care of our personal belongings, and respecting the sanctity of the holy space.
Respect myself
This includes listening and allowing myself to engage fully with the program itinerary, dressing appropriately, and having fun.
Failure to abide by our code of conduct will result in a warning conversation with one of the leaders. If inappropriate behaviors continue beyond this point, the CTK Lakeshore Youth Ministry Team will proceed to contact your parent/guardian. Lack of improvement after this will result in temporary suspension from our programs, and if necessary, dismissal for the remainder of the ministry year. This series of consequences will be in place to ensure the protection of a safe and positive environment for all participants.
