Admission Ticket and Testing Password

Candidates can log in to www.chinesetest.cn to query/print the admission ticket 10 days before the exam. Confirm your information on the admission ticket, such as name, nationality, gender, certificate number, and exam information, including exam supplies, test time, test center name, test center instructions, etc. The testing password will be posted a week before the exam.

Preparation Before the Test 

Admission time: candidates can log in to the system up to 60 minutes before the exam starts. Please log in no later than 30 minutes before the start time. Personal, equipment, or network issues leading to lateness will not qualify as extenuating circumstances. 

​Equipment testing and environment checkups:

1. Cameras on both computer/laptop and phone/iPad

2. Wired earphones/headphones for both computer/laptop and iPhone/iPad

3. Network
4. Read and agree on the exam rules
5. Enter the exam by typing in the admission ticket number and password – a countdown will begin

Notes: Candidates who are judged to be unqualified on the test day cannot take the test. Candidates are required to turn off their mobile phones, MP3s, etc., and have no access to any prohibited items during the exam. For all emergencies caused by the test organizer, such as when encountering a web page technical problem, students can use their mobile phone or email to contact the test supervisor.

Exam Results

Check Test Score and Print Certificate

Test takers are responsible for checking and printing their own scores and certificate. The information on the test admission ticket can be used to log in via www.chinesetest.cn to inquire about the test result (10 workdays after the completion of the HSK, YCT, and BCT Tests. 25 workdays after the completion of the HSKK, and HSK3-6 + HSKK Tests. The time shall be postponed to the next day if it falls on a Chinese national holiday). Test takers can also apply for a printed result report to be mailed to them or their institutions using the Extra Score Report service.


An electronic score certificate (no hard copy certificate) is provided for the home edition online exam. Candidate can use their registered name and admission ticket number to locate their electronic score certificate on the website. Please note that only one free print is allowed. You may also choose to print it out/save it as a PDF file. If candidates need more hard copy certificates, they can log in to their registered account and request an extra paper certificate. The candidates are responsible for extra certification fees and mailing fees.

The test results will be available on www.chinesetest.cn three to four weeks after the test. Please contact the CTI-GMABC Test Center to pick up your exam report certificates issued by the CTI.

For your information, listed below, please find the previous rehearsal issues to be avoided.

1. Did the practice test via the HSK exam client without joining the Zoom testing room.

Please know that the test taken without joining the Zoom testing room and being monitored by the proctors is invalid.   


2. Cell phone/iPad camera setup issues

The Cell phone/iPad camera should be at your 4 or 8 o'clock position, and 3 feet away from you to ensure the proctors can see your computer/laptop screen, keyboard, hand movements, and full upper body.

3. Didn't have a Windows computer and couldn't run the HSK Exam Client.

Please prepare a Windows computer that can run the Exam Client. The Mac OS operating systems are not supported.

 

4. Didn't download and install the HSK Exam Client as instructed.

Please check the Downloads webpage on our website to download the folder - HSKExamClient-HomeR20210830-HW1 onto your computer and make sure the test application runs properly as instructed. 


5. Didn't know the Exam Client Log-in password.

Please check your Exam Client login password and write it down on your admission ticket before the official test day. Please know that the Zoom ID and HSK Exam Client Login password for the official test are the same as the rehearsal test.


6. Attended the Zoom testing room late and missed the ID and Room checkups. Logged in the Exam Client late and missed part of the listening questions.

Please sign in to the Zoom meeting room one hour before the test start time, log in to the Exam Client and complete all the check-in steps until you get to a countdown page at least 10 minutes before the test starts.


7. Didn't have earphones/headphones. The loudspeaker sound disrupted the other test-takers.

Please keep the wired earphones/headphones plugged in your computer/laptop to avoid disrupting the other test-takers.

Please have another set of wired earphones/headphones plugged in the cell phone/iPad so you are not disrupted by the noises/talking from other test-takers rooms as we are all on Zoom.

Please know that any Bluetooth devices are not compatible with the Exam client.


8. Zoom issues

During the test, please make sure Zoom is on at all times, unmuted, the cell phone/iPad speaker volume is set to the lowest, the wired earphones are plugged in, and use the cell phone/iPad in landscape mode.


9. Laptops, cell phones ran out of power during the test

Please fully charge your devices and have the power bank or extension cords ready in case they are needed for charging.


10. Didn't know how to switch to the Chinese keyboard provided in the Exam Client.

Please practice the test provided in the HSK Exam Client application to get familiar with the system before the official test. The Chinese keyboard can be found at the bottom right of the screen.

11. Took the test in an open area, talked to someone who knocked on the door, and entered the room during the test.

The test should be taken in a closed, separate room to ensure there is no disturbance. No other people may enter the test room during the test.

12. Books, papers, etc. on the bookshelf and many little things on the desk.

Please clear your desk and bookshelf if it's close to your desk. Only hardware and equipment needed for the test are allowed on the desk.

13. Had to go to the bathroom during the test.

Please go to the bathroom before the test starts, you cannot use the bathroom during the test.
