Group 3
We are Global Innovator Citizens and we have been participating in CTEL_ITT Program. Within this project we have gained a rich fascinating experience in CBL.
Our team motto has become ''Have Fun, Share Experience, Help Each Other'' and the aim of our work is to create a modern relevant curriculum with online resources for our students and teachers, too.
Please, find our project below.
Title of the course
The GIC curriculum is designed according to CTEL – ITT methodology and principles. It provides an integrated and team learning approach with a student in the center. The GIC module is a four - month online program and aims to help students develop important skills necessary for a global citizen with relevant knowledge. Students will be conducted one - hour lessons twice a month. During each lesson they will be introduced to the context within all three subjects using a variety of applications or resources depending on the topic. They will perform exercises which will prepare them for the final, main activity. At the end of each lesson students will create a specific product based on the purpose and theme of the lesson. The goal of activities will be to engage students actively in the learning process considering their prior knowledge, and interests. The course activities will be adapted based on the results of the formative assessment.

Arc & Highlights of the Experience
The first part deals with creating a positive atmosphere for students and building a rapport. We will try to increase students' interest in the topic of the program, introduce the principles of integrated and teamwork learning, introduce the concepts of illusion and reality, and teach how to apply the acquired knowledge and experience in real life situations.
This stage will be especially important for students to master different methods, approaches, tools, applications provided by the course, as well as to cooperate with each other in teams, to get acquainted with the principles of assessment.
It will also be important for both students and teachers to discover strategies and techniques that have hindered or facilitated group work to be considered for more effective work at a later stage.
Lesson 1
Introduction
Starting the course with this issue will be both interesting and fun for the students. Teachers show some mirages, illusionists’ performances, tricks, illusion drawings to students and they express their thoughts about what they see, who they are made for and why…
In this way, the teacher intends to make students realize that illusion is everywhere and in everything. Illusion does not only exist in the human imagination but it can also be created by nature in the form of mirages. It will also be good for students to understand how illusions have been turned into new forms of art or literary works (fairy tales, comics, myths, science fiction) and especially learn how to explain unknown, dangerous and special events. In addition, it is important to realize that illusion and reality are inseparable (there are two sides of one coin).

Vocabulary activities
Reading or watching a fairy tale
Reading a myth
Working in https://bookcreator.com
Watching a film “Now You See Me”
Main Objective:
Students will create comics with their own illusion in https://bookcreator.com using the target language.
Lesson 2
Main Objective:
Using the target language students will create a poster in Canvas about turning modern illusion into reality.
Let’s imagine, for example, that someone found a Templers' hidden Grail Cup, drank it, and gained Eternal Youth / Life, or imagine that Marvel Superheroes (Captain America, Spider-Man, Iron Man, etc.) actually exist. And then students have to show in the poster the positive/progressive and negative/regressive sides of turning modern illusion into reality and state their final position/argument on the question “Will this event be positive or negative for people?”

Lesson 3
Introduction
In this lesson students will imagine that some of the realities we have today came true long ago. Students will imagine how it could have changed history. For example, what would have happened, if King Erekle and the president of the USA of that time had had a communication on the phone before the Treaty of Georgievsk.
.
Main Objective:
Students will create a small alternative scenario for the development of the country in a shared google doc.
They will answer the following questions: What would be the territory of Georgia? What forms of the government would we have? Would it be a former Soviet country? Would we already be a member of NATO and the EU? Would we be an economically rich country? and so on..

Unit 2:
At this stage, students will already have mastered the principles of integrated learning and teamwork, which will make it easier for us to create a positive environment. Also, the topics of the curriculum will be clear to them, they will already have the experience of teamwork in the online format based on previous lessons, which will facilitate the creation of an organized environment. Teachers will also have significant feedback already on organizing teamwork, using the methods, approaches, tools and applications, which at the core of the project will greatly help us to plan our activities more flexibly.
This is the main stage of our curriculum, consisting of 4 lessons, and here the focus is on illusion and reality as a whole, especially the pros and cons of illusion: the local and global dangers of illusion in relation to the development of the individual, society and state. So, it is important for students to describe and analyze how illusion can become a source of progress without losing touch with reality, and vice versa, when illusion loses touch with reality this can lead to regression and destructive processes. Students will create one product at the end of each lesson to make knowledge transfer.
Lesson 4
Introduction
The aim of this lesson, on the one hand, is to help children understand how they can protect themselves from illusion in order not to be deceived with it (a well-known film” Life is Beautiful” cane be very helpful here), and on the other hand, students will also realize that if people pursue illusion and lose their sense of reality completely, it will threaten their personal development or they will lose contact with the real world.

Unit 3
This stage is the summary of our curriculum, which consists of 1 lesson and through it we plan to consolidate the knowledge and experience gained during the previous seven lessons. We want to come to a logical and interesting ending to the topic, which will be one of the best ways for students to connect the received knowledge and experience with a real-life context.
At this stage students will analyze and come up with a conclusion that illusion and reality are one whole and if we deal with it correctly it can lead us to progress. They will also justify that if a person and a society need to develop, they definitely need a connection to the global world. Finally, students will create a model of a settlement on Mars to illustrate how today 's illusion can become a reality tomorrow and a source of progress considering the existing dangers.
Lesson 8
Summary
Main Objective:
Students will create their own model of settlement on Mars in Scratch/Minecraft.
Students will find and analyze information about Mars (flipped classroom) and use this information to write a scenario about life on Mars.
Finally, students will learn that illusion and reality are one whole and if we perceive it in the right way, it can lead to progress. And, what is more important, if people/societies want to develop, they definitely need to be connected with the global world.
