Hello Chris, My engine code reader shows no power or codes when i plug it into the rear ignition panel, But my dash is showing a "CHK ENG" light. Is there other ECM ports or fuses
Hi Terence. All MCIs have an ECM box with reset buttons and solenoids along with a main ECM reader port. 9 times out of 10 they are located above on the celling in the first luggage bay compartment on the left. Hope this helps.

Hi, We can't get our 2002 D4500 Commuter Coach started, May you be able to help us troubleshoot. The batteries are charged but we are only receiving 12V to the coach, not 24V, along with no power to the dash. Thank you
Hi Kaitlyn, It seams your issue is an ignition issue or a connection issue. The D series battery systems are run in series which provides 12V when you flip the main breaker on and 24V when ignition is applied. I wanna start with your connections, take a tester and ground it to the battery's then test the 12V poll on the Equalizer and it should read 13+ and the 24V poll should show 26V... if so your connections in the battery box are good to go. Next when you turn on your ignition does your dash show accessory power? If not that because your not getting ignition which therefore isn't turning on your 24V system. Start by pulling out your ignition switch or control knob, behind them are just wire connectors that should have fallen off the device... Secondly check the ignition solenoid located in the fuse box under the driver window... thirdly in the last luggage bay on the left before the rear axle is a little box that says negative ground, that houses the negative ground for the ignition, be sure those are in tact. start with that and let me know ow you make out. Good Luck!!!

I need to change my house batteries. Old ones don’t hold a charge anymore so I bought 5 new Lifeline 8DL 290amp hr batteries that will be delivered in a week or so. Anything special that I need to know when swapping the batteries other than good common sense, shutting the 12 volt and 24 volt breakers, shutting down the inverters, tapping the cables as I remove them, etc? Thanks for any advice.
Hi Jeff. Before you remove the old just make sure you mark everything, take pics... People get stuck by going to fast, there's a lot of cables on different systems which can shock the vanner, it can get confusing lol. Then just verify your shutoffs work using a test light to the bolts right of the breakers, Do this while hooked up to the old batteries, If your reading anything over 1V they aren't breaking off properly, Fix that issue and make sure they don't allow voltage through to avoid frying anything if you slip or make a hook up mistake.

Hey Mr. Chris... I am having an issue with my axillary control in the front of the bus. when I start the bus I have 24+ volts so I don't think I have a charging issue. I'm just not receiving power to my stereo system, entertainment DVD system, USB charging ports, radio, ambient lighting and so on. Those all seam to be aftermarket amenities if you know what I'm saying, which I'm assuming is on its on circuit if you wanna call it
The stereo, DVD, radio and Tv's are on its own module in the main fuse box on the door itself, that is the selector, responder, receiver, which operates all of that. Does that have all green lights on it or any power at all? The ambient lights and charging ports are "passenger Comfort devices" on a solenoid also in that main fuse box that can be bad. but they do not have there own wiring from the battery, if your dash and standard 12V lights are on those should work as well. So start with seeing if you get power up to that solenoid using a tester and as far as the module there is a reset button on the back of that module. its red... Both these components would fail if you had a surge to the TV's or USB ports.
