Michigan Works!

During the summer of 2009 I worked as the Media Supervisor for the Central Area Michigan Works! Consortium's Summer Youth Program in Ionia County. I supervised a crew of six youth, teaching them to create a weekly news cast we called the "Inside Scoop." Each week we traveled around to the different work sites, keeping the public up to date on what and how the Summer Youth Program was doing. This was an awesome experience and I would love to do it again. I enjoyed telling the stories of success that happened throughout the summer. It was amazing watching these youth learn and grow.
