About Us

Dr. Aleksandria Perez Grabow is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at California State University San Marcos and the director of the Trauma and Healing Lab. She completed her undergraduate studies at CSU Long Beach, received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Oregon, and joined CSU San Marcos in Fall 2019. Her areas of specialization are clinical/counseling psychology and psychological trauma. Dr. Perez Grabow’s research focuses on examining individual and environmental factors that influence long-term psychological, physiological, and behavioral outcomes of trauma through a non-pathologizing lens. Her work on trauma encompasses developmental trauma, collective trauma, and media violence exposure.
