Created by CSU Dance faculty member, Judy Bejarano
An Artist’s Life investigates the intersection of the arts; Dance, Music, Visual Arts and spoken word. The class explored this by creating a short program that relates to the lives of an artist from the 19th century, Vincent van Gogh and the 20th century, Frida Kahlo. For the 21st century, we chose to shine a spotlight on the dance majors themselves, who worked with a writing prompt that they were given to create quartets about their lives as emerging artists.
