Ohio is home to 217 Data Centers, and counting. Though crucial and inevitable, these data centers are harmful to communities in many ways, shapes, and forms. As of December 2025, The Ohio EPA is looking to fast track Water Dumping Permits for these data centers across the state.
Instead of opting in for an individualized permit based on the size, location, chemicals, etc. The entire tech industry will be given a broad, generalized permit whether it is a Google Data Center in the South Side of Columbus or an Amazon Data Center along Lake Erie.
