For decades, the Nursing Program has celebrated students at two meaningful milestones: their entry into clinical training and their transition into professional practice.
The Nurse’s Cap Ceremony, introduced in the early years of the program, marks the beginning of students’ clinical experience at the hospital. Receiving the cap symbolizes their commitment to compassionate care and the responsibilities of the nursing profession.
Upon completion of their studies, students are honored at the Pinning Ceremony, held as part of the University’s commencement activities. This tradition recognizes their academic achievement and welcomes them into the nursing profession as they begin their careers in healthcare.
