Students enrolled in the Nursing Program in September of 1969-1970 were required to take the following courses:
English composition
Anatomy and Physiology
Maternal and Child Health Nursing
Microbiology
Sociology
Nursing in Physical and Mental Illness
Physical Education
History
Political Science
Advance Medical, Surgical, and Nursing Seminar
Under this curriculum students had the opportunity to work in medical units, surgical units, operating rooms, cardiac care units, labor and delivery rooms, pediatrics units, and recovery rooms as they completed their degree requirements.
