Founded in 2012, the CSU+UC Event Professionals Network (CSU+UC EPN) is committed to bringing event professionals within higher education together to develop industry best practices, share event ideas and support one another. Participation in the CSU+UC EPN is open to event professionals within the CSU, UC and private higher educational institutions in California.
2026 is the seventh year of the annual awards program, which is designed to identify and recognize event professionals working on behalf of the CSU+UC EPN and excelling at their university. Four awards will be presented:

Founder's Award
Founder's Award
This award is designed to recognize a Network representative who has served the Network for at least five years and who embodies and has consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment to continuing the legacy of the founding principles of the CSU+UC EPN.
Beyond the Call of Duty Award
Beyond the Call of Duty Award
This award is designed to recognize a Network representative who has gone out of their way to make a lasting impact benefiting the CSU+UC EPN.
MVP (Most Valuable Professional) Award
MVP (Most Valuable Professional) Award
This award recognizes a Network representative who has made an exceptional contribution at their home university and was invaluable to the university 's event successes in the past year.
Rising Star
Rising Star
This award recognizes a Network representative who has been in their current position for less than 3 years and has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to higher education events at their home university and/or the CSU+UC EPN.
Award recipients will be selected by the Annual Awards Selection Committee and recognized during the CSU+UC EPN's Annual Conference at the Awards Ceremony on the evening of July 9, 2026.
