FAQ

What do I need to bring to the retreat?

Participants attending the 5-day writing retreat should come well-prepared for both the fluctuating weather conditions and the immersive writing experience. As the weather is expected to be variable, it's advisable to pack a mix of clothing layers, including light jackets, sweaters, and comfortable attire for indoor sessions. Don't forget about the opportunity to explore the natural surroundings of the retreat location. The ranch offers fantastic hiking and/or mountain biking trails, providing an excellent way to rejuvenate during breaks from writing. Packing sturdy hiking shoes or biking gear, along with a water bottle and sunscreen, would be beneficial for those looking to take advantage of the outdoor activities. The breathtaking landscapes and fresh air can offer a refreshing change of scenery, inspiring creativity and providing a well-deserved break from the writing process.

A reliable laptop is a must, accompanied by its charger, to ensure uninterrupted writing sessions. Additionally, participants should bring any essential resources for their writing projects, such as notebooks, research materials, or reference books. It's also a good idea to have a comfortable notebook or journal for jotting down spontaneous ideas that may arise during the retreat. Packing personal items like a water bottle, snacks, and a pair of noise-canceling headphones can enhance the overall writing environment. With a well-rounded preparation, participants can make the most of this writing retreat, both in terms of productivity and personal comfort.
