Sir Bryan Thwaites, (aged 100 at the time of writing) was chairman of the CES Advisory Council. The council was a group of regional chairmen and other computer educationalists that provided guidance to the CES project.

As chairman he, more often than not, wrote a "foreward" for the pupil books. These are displayed below.
