Volunteer as an ESL teacher/tutor in 1-on-1s or group settings:
Requirements: In line with the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act of 2006 you must submit a valid and recent/updated DBS check (at your own expense), must be over 18 years of age, we have a preference for people with experience working in an ESL environment and those who speak a second language, in particular (in no particular order): Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Punjabi, Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati, Arabic, French, Spanish, or Portuguese.
We encourage applications from people from underrepresented groups such as people of BAME backgrounds, those who identify as LGBTQIA+ , and those who identify as immigrant/refugees.

Currently we are in particular need for volunteers who:
Speak Ukrainian and/or Russian (as well as English).
Have CS/programming, fundraising, ESL teaching, advocacy, or outreach work experience.
We regularly post short and long-term volunteer opportunities and track engagement on this platform. It is the best way to stay up to date with any new roles and projects that we are recruiting for.
