Standards Based Grading
What do all these numbers mean? See below. Please don't worry if your child is getting 2's on their report card. This just means they need a little extra help. We will try our best to get them there independently!
4= “Since I understand this, I can be challenged!”
3= “I can do it independently!”
2= “I almost get it but I need help.”
1= “I don’t get it yet. I need a lot of guidance.”
Birthdays
If you are interested, you can send in easy-to-eat treats to share with the class. *Please let me know ahead of time*
We are no longer allowed to have a birthday treat during lunch so it will be immediately after lunch. Feel free to eat lunch with your child & come to celebrate right after.
Birthday invitations cannot be sent home through school (unless the entire class is invited).
Daily Snacks
Healthy (or as close to it as you’re able)
Please no messy snacks (yogurt, go gurts, dips, etc.). We don’t have time to wipe down tables until the end of the day.
Only water as a drink permitted for snack (no juice, milk, capri suns, etc.)
Bathroom concerns
If your child tends to have bathroom accidents, please keep a change of clothes in their bookbag.
Parks & Rec students
During early release and/or snow days, please arrange for other plans to pick up your child. Email me as soon as you know who will be picking up your child. Must be on pickup list.
