First Pack Meeting of the Season - Sept. 10, 2024 @ 6 pm
Popcorn sales is currently the top fundraising mechanism used by Scouts BSA, and has been our Pack's most dependable source of funding in recent years.
Earnings that the Pack receives by selling popcorn go to support funding our adventures, activities, and administrative cost among other items. However, there is more to this fundraising process than just earning money for the Pack. Participating scouts learn the value of hard work, how to earn their own way, public speaking, salesmanship / people skills, setting and achieving goals, money management, and most importantly, responsibility.
It is also a chance to apply the Scout Oath and Scout Law to real life. By helping the Pack our scouts are not only helping themselves, but are looking after their current and future scout members. Putting in the effort and work needed to see that everyone benefits.

Storefront sales are the biggest and most successful means of selling popcorn. People find it hard to say no to those cute kids dressed in there official cub scout uniforms!
Your Pack's Popcorn Kernel encourages every scout and a parent to signup and work at least two storefronts shifts. Each shift is only two hours long and are typically on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Popcorn Kernel schedules all storefront locations and establishes the shift times to be worked. He/she will also provide all the product and materials needed to run that storefront shift, to include a brief training to new scouts and parents on running a shift. All you and your scout need to do is sign up and show up ready to sell. Between the scouts irresistible cuteness and the Trail's End App, selling popcorn and collection donations is a breeze!
Note: Prices for the above products vary and are set by the local Council at the start of the fundraising season.
Scouts earn points towards an Amazon.com e-Gift Card when they record their sales in the Trail’s End App. They choose the prize they want!
