This year, a team of 14 Middle and Upper School students banded together to work on our Everglades Champions project- creating a butterfly corridor that stretches across Collier and Lee counties. We hope you can join us in our journey to save the butterflies!
Everglades Champions is an organization that engages students to protect the Everglades by creating a project. We chose to protect the Florida butterflies by creating a butterfly garden corridor. There are currently 170 native species of butterflies, but in recent years, they have been threatened and endangered by the destruction of their host and nectar plants. One of the best ways to preserve these butterflies is to plant gardens containing their native host and nectar plants, which you can do in the "Create a Garden" page. When you have made your garden or if you already have one, you can post it in the "Showcase your Garden" page.
