For this project, I explore and analyze how social media impacts everyday life in others and myself.
After taking the "AM I ADDICTED TO SOCIAL MEDIA?” quiz, I wasn't surprised I really dislike social media and have for a while something about projecting a false image always rubbed me the wrong way. The result of my quiz was the following:
You have a HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP with social media - well done! [Time To Log Off Social Media Addiction Quiz] Congratulations! Psychologists estimate that as many as 5 to 10% of Americans meet the criteria for social media addiction today. But luckily, that's not you! Not checking social media every few minutes doesn't make you feel anxious, as you prefer to live 'in the moment' rather than through your apps. You use social media to your advantage, at work and to connect with friends and family, but you know when to put it away. Keep it up!
I don't think there are many positives to social media anyone who needs to know about my life has my number.
The statistic I found most interesting shows the divide social media causes within our political system at different ages.
In my opinion social media is a cancer to society the negatives do not outweigh the positives. All influencers do is project false images and make common people insecure and unhappy with the life they worked for. It creates insecurities and an unattainable expectation of life.
I realized that I my beliefs about social media may not be as uncommon as I think. I love the memes and the way information can get around but that will never justify the misery and pain inside of social media and the void of true human interaction in the world.
