For our project, my partner and I chose to compare the Philippines and Japan to explore their use and availability of technology. This contrast shows how cultural, economic, and social factors can change the way technology is used. The Philippines is known for how quickly it adopts new technologies like smartphones and social media. This is very different from Japan, which has a lot of advanced technology infrastructure and new ideas in many fields.
One interesting fact I learned is that the Philippines ranks among the leading countries globally for social media engagement, with a significant portion of the population actively utilizing platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. Conversely, Japan is acknowledged for its advanced innovations in robotics, as demonstrated by companies such as Sony and Toyota, which excel in automation and intelligent technology.
The completion of this project provided significant insights into the technological dynamics across various cultures. I recognized the necessity of adjusting the material I presented to accommodate a diverse audience while underscoring important aspects that illustrate the digital landscape's influence on society. This project enhanced my understanding of how geography and cultural context influence technology utilization, transforming our research into a valuable experience.
