We are being tasked to research any place in the world outside of America to identify technology availability and issues around the world. We are learning how to properly use the World Wide Web, prove our digital literacy, and put our skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to the test. For this project, I chose to study Sydney, Australia because it has always been a place of interest for me and somewhere I would love to go someday. It would be interesting to find out how they differ from the US and the places my classmates have studied.
In this project, my partner and I compared Sydney, Australia to Hanoi, Vietnam. We found that they were very similar technologically, but different demographically. That led us to the conclusion that no matter what you look like, sound like, or where you live, that doesn't have to stop you from doing great things. In a country most Americans don't think about as well off like Vietnam, they are very technologically advanced and comparable to a place like Australia.
I learned how to collaborate with my partner to research and compare different places in the world. We learned how to put our findings into documents and make it clear, cohesive, and visually apealing.
