Unit 2

Mind Map

In unit two we learned a lot, but it started with creating a mind map on draw.io. 

We planned out our mind map by writing hand written notes on a piece of paper about a goal we have and all things related that can help us obtain this goal. 

Then using Draw.io we dove into using the software and learning what tools do what, as well as saving our work as a working file or a  finished ready to share file such as a png or pdf. 

Office Applications 

Starting with long simpath training modules on Microsoft word and excel, I learned a lot on how the programs actually worked and what all you are capable of doing. 

Getting us ready for our mid term assignments, these trainings really did teach me how to use the tools that Microsoft supplies very well.  Things such as organizing your work with proper headings and groupings on Word and even the citations that you can create just by using Word. 

And Excel was a lot to learn as well, learning how to create charts and graphs along with how to properly group and name every cell to allow everything to format properly. Also leanring about the functions and how you can have excel do the math for you in whatever way you need.
