Preliminary project proposal

You will need to provide the project proposal with the given rubric on the first week of classes for evaluation. Make sure your write-up addresses the first five criteria in the project proposal rubric. A sample proposal can be also submitted for now for course registration (Click here).

Review process and policies

  • You need to attend/watch an orientation session to get to know what is your responsibilities.

  • You will receive feedback on your proposal within a week of submission. If no major revisions are required, you will be granted permission to enroll in the course.

  • During the semester, there is going to be a number of presentation that includes a project proposal, software requirements specifications (SRS), demo and PowerPoint presentation demonstration.

  • The classroom will be used for discussion and presentation practices of all students.

  • At any time during the semester, you are welcome to schedule an appointment to discuss your project idea.

  • There are many theoretical concepts students need to be aware of such as UML diagrams (i.e., Use case diagram, Class diagram, Activity diagram, Sequence diagram, and many others). You have to understand these diagrams and apply your knowledge to fit with your project goals. For more references, check (Click here). This is one assignment for each team.

  • You also need to develop a time schedule for your project. You may use MS Project or any other similar tool to monitor your project progress (Click here).

  • Dr. Sheta needs to have access to the project progress.
