Throughout the film the government is shown to utilize camera technology which identifies individuals by scanning their eyes and cross referencing with databases of citizens' biometrics. This technology is used for mass surveillance as well as targeted advertising

A system called "precrime" is used in the film to predict crimes, using specialized individuals who can see the future known as "Precogs". This system is used  with great success to prevent murders

The computer interfaces in the film utilize human gestures rather than keyboards or other physical input devices. The displays exist in physical 3D space and experienced users can manipulate them very intuitively
