An eastern North Carolina native, Crystal witnessed the joy from bringing sweet treats to gatherings and events; even giving them as gifts. Each cupcake is crafted to bring joy and sweetness to your special moments. A passion project so everyone can discover the magic where baking meets creativity, and every occasion becomes a treasured celebration.

About Crystal Cakes.

It all started with a black forest cake made in 2010 for a dear friend's birthday. While searching for the perfect cake recipe, there appeared a recipe for a s'more cupcake. Lover of chocolate and roasted marshmallows, the challenge was accepted and the cupcake was a sucess. Many cupcake flavors later, in 2012 Crystal made the move back to North Carolina with her husband, Rob. In September of 2012, a childhood friend entered Crystal into a cupcake competition; a "make-it or break-it" moment for the baking journey. Those cupcakes were baked in a 725 square-foot apartment, and Rob wanted his space. The deal: if Crystal won, she could keep baking, but if she lost, it was time to pack it all up. As luck (and taste) would have it, Crystal won "most creative cupcake" with the caramel apple cupcake, still on the menu today. And thus, Crystal Cakes was born.

In the last 12 years, Crystal Cakes has had the honor of baking for friends, neighbors, high school sports teams, birthdays, baby and bridal showers, weddings, and community organizations. Crystal would be honored to bake for you!
