Bo The Shadow Hunter
Bo The Shadow Hunter
Bo, short for Rainbow Lightheart, is a Shadow Hunter from the planet Teleria. She is tall, thin and beautiful with long shimmering rainbow hair, and simple, graceful facial features.
Bo travels the cosmos protecting worlds from Shadow Monsters that seek to destroy all the light in the universe. She is a fierce and skilled warrior, focused on protecting the light and restoring the missing shards of the EverCrystal.
Bo is armed with a magical bow of guitar strings, which looks like a cross between a weapon and a musical instrument. Powered by the sheer radiance of the crystal mounted in her bow, Bo shoots music when she fires an arrow, converting her music into blasts of light. She can simply play a tune or strike a chord and can switch from shooting a volley of arrows to generating a force field as easily as changing notes.

Normally, Eddie is a plucky boy bursting with positivity and a bit of clumsiness. But lately, Eddie hasn't been sleeping well. He keeps having strange dreams of battles and strange places. The insomnia is wearing him down. His grades are slipping and he is starting to get into trouble at home and school.
Eddie feels like his dreams are trying to tell him something, like there are important things he should be doing. But he doesn’t know what it all really means.
After missing the bus on a stormy day after school, Eddie finds a mysterious sword. The sword can literally cut holes in reality, opening up portals to other dimensions. These portals open randomly, as Eddie doesn't know how to properly use the sword. It is believed that the sword chose Eddie to be its champion, but no one can figure out why.
Eddie feels like his dreams are trying to tell him something, like there are important things he should be doing. But he doesn’t know what it all really means.

Lily wants to be a shadow hunter just like her big sister Bo. Lily sometimes tags along with Bo on her patrols around the cosmos. Even at her young age, Lily is pretty good at hunting shadows. A little too good actually… She enjoys the hunt a bit more than she should. Sometimes, Bo wonders if she needs counseling or something.
Lily is one hot mess! She is a spitfire who says and does whatever is on her mind at the moment. She is super funny to watch, even when she isn’t trying to be.
Lily is hyperactive (maybe even ADHD) and burns a lot of energy. Because of that, she eats a lot! And also sleeps, a lot. Lily always falls asleep when she light travels with Bo. Sometimes, it takes her a while to fully wake up, and kind of acts like a zombie until she is fully awakened.
Lily primarily uses twin fire crystal daggers and loves to tear shadows in two. She is hyper and unpredictable in battle. Sometimes, the shadows run from her, fearing for their lives. But Lily is relentless in her pursuit.

Sasha the Spiritwalker
Sasha the Spiritwalker
Sasha is a Spiritwalker from the planet Eyos and has been training in the spiritual arts since birth. Sasha can communicate with spirits, peer into spirit dimensions and can open temporary portals to the spirit realm. She can also sense if people have crossed over (passed away). When she uses her spirit powers, her eyes glow. Sasha is short and has three eyes and light purple skin. She wears a hooded spirit robe, the traditional garb of her Spiritwalker kin.
Sasha is armed with a wooden staff adorned with a large purple crystal. With it, she is able to fire bolts of ultraviolet light energy, create a spirit energy shield and generate a field that allows everyone with her to see into the spirit realm. She can also push a person’s spirit from their body with a physical attack with the staff. Her most devastating attack is the ability to generate bolts of spirit lightning.
Sasha is secretive and her motives are unclear. Sometimes we aren’t sure who’s side she is fighting for. But ultimately, she fights for the side of good.

Cookie is an old hillbilly gold miner with a long white beard, bare feet and a pet goat named Nessie. He plays bluegrass on his banjo, has an affinity for dynamite, and uses his trusty pickaxe for everything from digging, fighting, opening cans and picking his teeth.
Cookie was one of the original California gold miners from 1849. He was the cook for his ragtag band of miners looking for a better life. They have all since left or passed away. Now only Cookie and Nessie remain.
One day while mining for gold, Cookie found a strange glowing crystal, which Nessie abruptly swallowed whole.

Nessie is Cookie's most trusted friend and ever constant companion. Nessie eats just about anything, and is always chewing on something she shouldn’t. She eats first and asks questions later. She even swallowed the glowing crystal shard, shortly after Cookie found it on a particularly lucky day of mining. It remains inside one of her stomachs to this day.
The crystal they found happens to be a rare Life crystal. Life crystals emit a warm white light that can help things grow, which explains why Cookie and Nessie have lived for so long.

Long before the first light illuminated our universe, darkness prevailed throughout the cosmos. The light carried with it the spark of life and gave birth to shadow.
For a long time, the shadows were harmless, unable to interact with anything in a tangible way. They were subject to the will of the light, only able to go where the light dictated. Eventually, they started gaining consciousness and personality. They became playful and mischievous, scaring and even entertaining people, but they could never manipulate the things of the physical world.
Mysteriously, the shadows have been getting stronger, bolder. They are now able to manipulate and destroy physical items, moving beyond the confines of their previous ephemeral existence, as if they are evolving. The shadows have become angry, violent and organized, waging war on all light sources, as they seek to plunge the universe into everlasting darkness.
