Stories and STEM
Stories and STEM starts with a captivating read-aloud story together. Then with each story, we will explore a hands-on STEM activity to promote experiential learning and small group problem-solving. Some of my favorites are designing and constructing "flying machines" with the book Rosie Revere, Engineer, and reading Oh the Places You'll Go and then creating out-of-the-box things that go! There are also lots of stories and STEM activities that center around our seasons like building candy pumpkin catapults after reading Tractor Mac, Harvest Time and making unique snowflakes out of toothpicks and marshmallows with Snowflake Bentley.
