At this event there will be 2 competitions that award Crossroads Points. Each competition will consist of 4 teams (one from each Crossroads Team).

Saxon Cooking Competition Coordinator: Master Isengrim Sleggja
Join Master Isengrim Sleggja for an all day period cooking demo where members of the populace will attempt to make specific recipes on provided equipment (a ceramic cookpot and a period fry pan). Participants from the four Crossroads teams will receive points for their respective team. The more members of your Crossroads team you have participate in the demo, the more points you will receive!
You will also have the opportunity to put your name in for a drawing to receive a cookpot or fry pan!

The social will be held on Saturday from 1-3pm in the Fiber and Needle Guild tent.
There will be an arrow repair station set up near the archery field on Saturday. Times to be determined.

Designing Original Scrolls for Beginners - Mistress Elynor of Glastonbury, OL
(Class fee: $3 for handouts/materials) Do you have fun painting pre-prints, but don't know how to get started designing original scrolls? This class is for you! We'll discuss how period manuscripts were designed, and use those period methods to assemble borders fit for any tournament prize or award scroll. If you can copy, trace, and paint pre-prints, you too can create original scrolls!
Roundtable Discussion: Arts and Science Judging Criteria Project - Her Ladyship Cecilia de Gatisbury

First Original Scroll Round Table Competition - Mistress Elynor of Glastonbury, OL
(Free) Who: New Scribes who have only done pre-prints previously, but are trying original work. What: First original scroll or border. How: Bring your original scroll (it doesn't have to be finished) or border design. Why: To receive constructive feedback from experienced scribes, and to meet up with other scribes starting original work to discuss resources and techniques in a round-table session format. "

Cordials 101 - HL Alyce “Apple” Knight
(Class is free, keeping the cordial costs $5.00.) We will learn the process of making cordials including a brief history as to what their purpose was in a period home. Supplies will be provided for the practical making and decanting cordials in class. Class size is limited to 12 and if you would like to take home your cordial the cost is $5
