AUDITION DATES
December 1st & 3rd
Battery placements will be determined through a musical and visual audition.
-Battery instruments consist of Snare Drum, Tenor Drums, Bass Drums and Cymbals
Front Ensemble placements will be determined through a musical audition only.
-Front Ensemble instruments consist of (but are not limited to) Marimba, Vibraphone, Xylophone, Glockenspiel, Chimes, Timpani, Piano/Synthesizer, Drum Set, Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Auxiliary Percussion.
Students who are interested in both Battery and Front Ensemble may perform a combined audition.
These students should speak to the staff privately to determine the best way to approach your audition.
*Like Jazz/Lab Band, Winter Guard, and other auditioned groups at CR South, it is important to remember that this ensemble only has a finite number of spots available. Although we welcome auditions from all ages and experience levels, there may be students who do not earn a spot within the ensemble.
Since this audition material may be new for many students, you should only focus on performing as much of the audition as possible.
In other words, new students should not feel pressured to perform the entire audition sequence, but only the parts they are most comfortable playing.
All experience levels are welcomed!
