The Detective Bureau is a multidisciplinary unit within the Los Angeles Police Dept, tasked with investigating and combating major offenses. Intelligence and Evidence is gathered with the purposes of identifying criminal patterns or trend development, identification of suspects and criminal enterprises and identifying officer safety issues.
