PJ Smyth wrote that there are things Elders must be and things Elders must do. He wrote that Elders should be shaped by apostolic ministry, able to lead themselves, able to lead their families and able to lead his local church. The things Elders do are embody vision and values, pray, and guard, guide and govern themselves, their families and the church that they serve.

What is the E4 team?

Ephesians 4:11-13 says that 'He (Jesus) gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the Saints for the work of ministry, for the building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ'. The E4 team at Croydon Jubilee Church exists to model operating in these particular spiritual gifts and to help people walk into the gifting that He is blessing us with through the diversity of the individual members of this local church.
