On April 23rd, the CCC hosted a forum for all five candidates running for BOE Trustee around our mission statement.
It was such a powerful example of what it looks like when a community comes together to support its children. We had standing room only, with over 90 people in attendance. Members of the CCC School Advocacy Committee, all educators themselves, thoughtfully narrowed more than 120 submitted questions down to six focused topics.
We want to again thank all five candidates for giving their time and engaging in an issue that matters deeply to families not just here in Croton, but across the country. The evening left many feeling hopeful, as it was clear how our advocacy work and this growing national issue has impacted all the candidates. The applause after each response spoke volumes.
The League of Women Voters Candidate Forum will take place on May 12th. Questions we received that were not specific to technology in schools were shared with them.
And don’t forget to vote on May 19 at the Croton Harmon High School!
Please note: This forum is organized by the Croton Community Collective. It is not affiliated with the school district or the PTA and does not replace the League of Women Voters forum traditionally held at CHHS.
We host in-person monthly meetings to connect, share ideas, plan events, and support one another.

Thank you so much to everyone who came to The Grand for our community screening and panel discussion. It was an incredibly meaningful night. Thank you again to The Grand, our incredible moderator and panelists, Erin, Jonathan, Cassady, and Jeff. We had about 65 attendees, and we raised $800 for the Alexander Neville Foundation.
