Mayara was born and raised in Brazil and grew up with a passion for Science. With a background in Environmental Engineering and Marine Biology and Physics once she started CrossFit, at this own gym back in 2015, her passion for Science transitioned to anatomy and biomechanics.
Mayara is a CF-L1 coach as well as a certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach with a bachelors in Physical Education, constantly studying and learning with the goal of helping other people through their fitness and health journey.
As a mother she has a sweet spot for other moms and love to help them getting into a healthier lifestyle through lifting weights and having fun.
She loves to swim, surf, dive, hike and all things island life.

Melissa was born and raised in Canada. After completing her degrees in Psychology and Education she moved to Japan. Outside of fitness, her interests, include playing with her dog, hiking, cooking, and perfecting her craft as a tattoo artist. She is versatile in many languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, and French.
Her passion for CrossFit began in Okinawa in 2012. Through her time in CrossFit, she has competed in bikini fitness, completed an ultra marathon along with many CrossFit competitions. She attained her level one in 2021 and began coaching at a local box in Gig Harbor, Seattle.
She has returned to Okinawa after three years, continuing her passion for coaching at Habu CrossFit. She looks forward to meeting you and joining you on your fitness journey.

Art, short for Artur, grew up swimming, playing various team sports and loving any aspect of being active.
He has found CrossFit in 2015, when he moved to Okinawa, and it was love at first sight.
He is a Level 1 certified coach and loves making CrossFit accessible to everyone.
Art enjoys outdoors, whenever he has a time for it. Hiking, snorkeling, canoeing, you name it, but especially on his preferable means of transportation, his beloved gravel bicycle.
