Crocodiles are semi-aquatic and live in wetland areas, freshwater rivers or lakes, or saltwater – residing in estuaries, lagoons, or mangrove swamps, rather than far out at sea.
Male saltwater crocodiles have been recorded at lengths of 23 feet (7 m) and weights of 2,205 pounds (1,000 kg). Females are much smaller, growing to be about 10 feet (3 m) long and weighing 330 pounds (150 kg)
Saltwater Crocodiles can live up to 70+ years while Nile River Crocodiles can live from 50-60+ years.
