Welcome delegates!
This is Nitya Bajaj and Sahasra Siri Ananthula, and we are incredibly delighted to be your co-Secretary Generals for our upcoming conference: CRNYMUNC! Hosted at Hudson Valley Community College and brought to you by the Shenendehowa MUN and generous sponsors, the Capital Region NY Model UN Conference strives to bring the joy of MUN to all in the Capital District.
Whether you're a new or experienced delegate, CRNYMUNC has something for everyone. The conference itself is primarily geared towards novice and intermediate delegates, featuring a workshop session for essential skills development, a variety of committees to pick from, and relevant topics that will promote engagement and valuable discussion of the current global climate. As for delegates with multiple conferences under their belts already, we'd love to see you participate in our Prohibition-centric Crisis Committee! And for all delegates, we're also offering you the opportunity to help us run the event as a faculty volunteer if that's more your style! Regardless of what you choose to do, our only hope is that you walk away with cherished memories and a newfound love for delegacy and debate.
Since its premier session in 2024, CRNYMUNC has always been about bringing Model UN to more active and deeply curious students like yourselves across the Capital Region. Thanks to the immense efforts of our previous Secretary General, Mariha Islam, alongside our club advisor (Mrs. Amber Renaldi), CRNYMUNC I was able to accomplish this goal with delegates from multiple school districts. This year, we hope to expand CRNYMUNC II even further with the support of our gracious sponsors: Hudson Valley Community College, the International Center of the Capital Region, and the Scotia Rotary Club. We're so excited to have you on this journey with us–thank you all for your support!
Best Regards,
Nitya Bajaj and Sahasra Siri Ananthula

Check out the About Us, Schedule, and Committees pages to learn more about CRNYMUNC and what it will provide for you as a delegate! You are able to participate in any of the committees except Crisis, unless you have at least one conference under your belt.
Once you're done with that, you can view Registration and Fees to see how to sign up for the conference--inform your club president and/or advisor ASAP to begin the registration process! (Individual delegates should register themselves or be registered by their advisor.)
Finally, you can take a look at Policy Papers to see what you are required to prepare in advance for the conference.
NOTE: Beginner delegates are also able to volunteer in support roles. If that interests you, check out Faculty Volunteers!
