To create a new budget go to global search and search for
"SC Budget Default View"
Open the search
If the budget you like to work with does not exist in the list then click New SC Budget
Name - Notic that the name field is auto populated. If you like you can enter name manually, but we recommend to let the system generate it.
Budget Type - Choose what kind of budget type you want to use.
In this case Sales Rep Phone Budget is choosen, and therefor the field Employee is displayed.
Employee - Choose the employee you create this budget for
If you choose Budget Type Department, instead of the Employee field you will see a department field. It is possible to choose a combination of fields and then you will see all the fields you have choosen.
Period Type - Choose the period type you like to use
Day - Chose Start Date and End Date
Week
When chosing Start Date choose a date that is the first day of a week
When Chosing End Date choose a date that is the last day of a week
Month
When chosing Start Date choose a date that is the first day of a month
When Chosing End Date choose a date that is the last day of a month
Quarter
When chosing Start Date choose a date that is the first day of a quarter
When Chosing End Date choose a date that is the last day of a quarter
Year
When chosing Start Date choose a date that is the first day of the year
When Chosing End Date choose a date that is the last day of a the year
Start Date - choose depending on Period Type (see above)
End Date - choose depending on Period Type (see above)
Amount - If you like to budget on amount
Number - If you like to budget accurences or numbers
If you choose Amount, Number is hidden, if you choose Number, Amount is hidden
Save
Click on the Update button to create all budget rows
The budget rows that is created gets the number or amount distributed evanly from the budget value you set in hte header.
You can of course change the values.
Click edit in the header and then you can edit direct in the list or edit line by line.
