Cristobal Condori Quispe is an undergraduate and postgraduate Professor of Geophysics and director of the Research Unit at Department of Geology and Geophysics at National University of San Agustin of Arequipa - UNSA, Peru. He pursues a diverse research focused on the study and characterization of the variations of the crust and upper mantle structure under the North of Peru, using seismological methods such as: Receiver Function (RF), Ambient Noise Tomography (ANT) and Body Wave tomography (BWT) to imaging the lithospheric structures and Seismic Anisotropy (SA) to investigate patterns of mantle flow. Dr. Condori was educated at the National University of San Agustin of Arequipa - UNSA, where he received a B.S. in Geophysics in 2009 and at the University of Brasília, Brazil, earning his Ph.D. in 2017 in Applied Geosciences. He worked at the National Seismological Service (SSN) of the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP) in the monitoring of local and regional earthquakes. He was a collaborator of the international seismological projects: Peru Lithosphere and Slab Experiment (PULSE) and Central Andes Uplift and Geodynamics of High Topography (CAUGHT), to study the causes and effects of the flat-slab subduction of the Nazca Plate beneath of Peru. Currently, Condori studies the Impact of Ground Vibrations generated by Anthropogenic sources near buildings of urban area, and the Urban Environmental Noise around the Rodriguez Ballón International Airport, Arequipa, Peru.
