I am an economist at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). Before joining IFAD, I completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Earth and Life Institute from UCLouvain in Belgium, where I was part of the Midland project. I hold a Phd in Geography and a Masters in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Davis. My research broadly examines the consequences of environmental degradation on family agriculture and topics of agricultural land use and food security.Â
I have also worked as an agricultural economist for the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), The World Bank, and for California's Cooperative Extension.
