Howdy! I am a fourth-year math Ph.D. student at the University of Houston.

My Ph.D. advisor is Dr. Gabriela Jaramillo, and my research interests include the analysis of partial differential equations, nonlocal operators, and applied dynamical systems. In particular, I am interested in models encountered in ecological and biological sciences, such as the Klausmeier model, where we replace classical diffusion with an integral operator of diffusive type. I am also deeply invested in the idea that mathematics is for everyone and highly value inclusivity and collaboration. I welcome any opportunity that advances this goal.

Before joining UH Math, I was an undergraduate at Texas A&M University. While there, I studied applied mathematics: I was interested in statistics and Leontief analysis of economic systems and performed mathematics outreach through the Math Circle.

On the side, I enjoy running, hiking, listening to music, watching soccer, and playing with my cats. Music holds a significant place in my life, particularly jazz, cumbia, and an array of pop genres, and my favorite team is Club América.
